Upper C

Area

After the Colorado River passes the town of Kremling it drops into Gore Canyon, a 9.2 mile long class V that is one of the hardest commercially guided runs in the country. After Gore comes the Pumphouse run, the second most popular run in the state after Brown’s Canyon on the Arkansas River near Salida. As you pass State Bridge the  river flattens out for the most part but there are still a handful of fun class III rapids between here and Dotsero. This area is very popular among fisherman.

In this area we have created 5 maps to help you navigate.

Upper C (CO-500): Large size map, this map covers the same stretch as the next three.

Pinball to Dotsero (CO-501): Regular size map

State Bridge to Pinball (CO-502): Regular size map

Pumphouse to State Bridge (CO-503): Regular size map

Outside of our printed maps we also have some info on runs on tributaries that flow into the Upper C on the website. Other Runs
