Sandy Beach is more of a recreational area than a boat launch but it is a great place to takeout in a kayak, SUP, or other small craft if you want to cut off the last two miles of mostly flat water. That said the Salt Wash Rapid is fun and worth hanging in till the end. It’s about 150 ft from the river to the closest place you can put a car and the beach is sandy so the thought of carrying a raft out here just seems silly.
