If you are not a competent class III/IV boater take out here. The last half mile is a continues class III with one rapid that hits class IV at different flows. It is not the place to test your abilities or attempt your first class III. A solid combat roll and excellent boat control are required beyond this point.

The take out here can be muddy and gross but the eddy is usually pretty easy to hit. It’s relatively easy to spot as there is a highway bridge over the river but it is after a turn and could surprise you if you’re not paying attention. It’s about ¾ of a mile after you go under the private pedestrian bridge (picture on right) so I usually am on the lookout after going under it.
